Faculties, Alumni Association and others consecutively give donations voluntarily
Kosin University decided to provide ‘COVID-19 Scholarship’ to encourage students who have devoted themselves to their studies despite the difficult situation due to corona virus and to encourage their studies. This scholarship is provided as ‘COVID-19 Special Scholarship’ and ‘COVID-19 Special Fundraising Scholarship.’
The ‘COVID-19 Special Scholarship’ provides 100,000 won per undergraduate student, and is provided to all undergraduate students on Yeongdo campus and in College of Nursing, including those who are enrolled in the 2020 fall semester at Kosin University, who took a leave of absence after completing 2020 spring semester, and the class of 2020.
In particular ‘COVID-19 Special Fundraising Scholarship’ was funded by Kosin University faculties and Kosin Alumni Scholarship Association(Board President Lee Hwan-Bong), Association of Alumni in Service, and the family of alumni in order to support the students who are suffering from economic difficulties due to COVID-19 through materials and prayers. The scholarship provides an additional 300,000 won or 500,000 won per student who were recommended by the department within the scholarship fund created.
President Ahn Min said “2020 is a time of unexpected environmental change and challenges for all of us due to COVID-19, which is sweeping both Korea and the world. We appreciate the students and parents who have accompanied us in this wave of change. In particular, we hope that this special scholarship will help to reduce the financial burden even a little for students preparing for the future. Since face-to-face and non-face-to-face classes are still held in the fall semester, we will do our best to ensure that students can study in a safe environment.
